3803 “The mere mention of the name ‘John Woodhouse’ to those who knew him brought forth strong statements of praise and commendation such as, ‘John Woodhouse - now there was a man. He could do almost anything and he knew almost everything. He was a most interesting man. He was a useful man. He contributed to the welfare of his communities in ways almost too numerous to mention. His skill and versatility were amazing to all who knew him.” John Woodhouse could rightly be remembered and honored for many things: his remarkable memory, intellect, versatility, work ethic, and spirituality. Examination of his life reveals another important quality that put all his other traits and talents to work for the Kingdom of God, and that was his willingness to serve.
